Back in June/July 2015, Rise approached the Bus Preservation Society to see if they could obtain the services of a driver and an 'interesting' bus to feature in a short film about working for Rise. They accepted our historic 'half cab,' Guy Arab 101 and an equally vintage, Tom Curtis as the driver.
This video was published on the 23rd of June, 2015 and is an excellent promotion of the work Rise performs in the community. It also provides an excellent 'look' at the Guy Arab in service and Tom's skill driving one of our older buses. The filming was conducted around the Midland area and is professionally made and certainly worth a look as it provides for both a greater understanding of Rise's work in the community and of the Bus in service. Rise say, in their web page that their organisation provides support and assistance to people with a disability, youth at risk, people with a mental health issue, carers, and older people in the community which builds 'on the capacity within each individual to achieve their personal potential'. A worthy cause, indeed.# |
